Events calendar

ENTRANCE will arrange online training and brokerage events and face-2-face brokerage events. Before each of the events, an ENTRANCE Open Competition will be arranged to select 8-10 innovative zero emission transport solution providers that will be awarded the following benefits:

  • The possibility to present in a pitch their transport solution during the brokerage events
  • Individual and personalised finance advice as specified in phase 3 – support

The open call for interest for this competition will be launched 3 months before each event and the solution providers will have one month to submit their application. Subsequently, a transparent and fair selection process will take place to select the winners of the competition considering the business case, financial aspects and the technical solution aspects of the solutions. This process will be carried out by a mixed selection committee that will consist of representatives from the Advisory Board as well as project partners.

The registration process for these events will take place through a specific matchmaking and brokerage event platform and attendees will be requested to include details about their solutions and demands (including replacement plans). All registered attendees will have access to this information and the attendees will thereafter have the possibility to request individual brokerage meetings with potential commercial collaborators for the brokerage sessions.

A total of three online training and brokerage events between solution providers and buyers will be organised to facilitate the uptake of innovation transport and mobility solutions. Up to 300 attendees are expected at these events and they will include the following activities:

⦁ The first session of these events will be a training webinar that will cover one of the following areas, that are considered important to provide knowledge to the platform users that may boost the scale up, uptake and facilitate the environmental assessment of innovation transport solutions:

  • How to make an elevator pitch to present a transport and mobility solution?
  • How to make an economical and environmental assessment of a transport and mobility solution?
  • Access to finance for scale up and uptake of innovative transport and mobility solutions.
  • Pitches from the selected solution providers from the open Innovation Competition.
  • Brokerage sessions with one-to-one meetings between solution provider-buyers or buyer-buyer (to boost purchase aggregation).

In addition, two face-2-face brokerage events will be arranged. 200 attendees are expected to attend these events that will be more direct market-oriented without training sessions and will also target investors. These events will include:

  • Poster exhibition in which all interested solution providers will have the chance to showcase their solution.
  • Pitches from the selected solution providers from the open Innovation Competition.
  • Brokerage sessions with one-to-one meetings between solution provider-buyers, buyer-buyer, investor-buyer, and investor-solution provider.
  • Coffee pauses and lunch as well as a dinner will function as perfect networking opportunities.

After each event, a close follow-up with the attendees will be carried out through an online questionnaire, and if considered necessary individual e-mails, to obtain information necessary to evaluate the results of the event (such as for example the number of contacts and the number of collaborations established).

Finally, with the intention of expanding the ENTRANCE network’s knowledge on how the European funding programmes function, ENTRANCE will organise, in collaboration with the funding authorities, training webinars to present the relevant European funding programmes. A minimum of 3 webinars will be organised for the European Innovation Council (EIC), Connecting Europe Facility (CEF) and the European Investment Bank (EIB). Others may be arranged if considered relevant during the execution of the project.
